Year 3 - Badgers Class

Hello parents, carers and any other adults who are reading this! Welcome to our class website page!

Topic 

We are in the first half of our Spring term and the sun is starting to shine a little more.

Our topic for this term is 'Globetrotters' and in Science we will be learning all about Forces & Magnets. Please see the topic web (below) for further information about our learning this term.   

PE

PE will be on Tuesdays and Fridays this term and both sessions will be outside weather permitting. Please ensure that the children come into school on these days wearing their school PE kit: shorts or tracksuit bottoms (depending on the weather), trainers, school jumper or fleece. Whatever the weather, all children should have a coat in school every day this term.

Homework  

There will be some learning and home enrichment given out on parents evening (the 18th of January) and uploaded onto this page. 

Elsewhere, if children could look at the following:

Maths - hit the button can be used for timestable and number fact recall (make sure we're not just practicing doubles as the class love those!) . 

Reading - The children can change their school reading book as often as they wish and will have a weekly opportunity to borrow books from the school library on a Thursday afternoon. Children should be reading daily at home and this can include any books you already have.

Spelling - Weekly spellings will link to spelling lessons in class. I may also give children some important topic words to look at as well.
