Are you ready to discovers Amazing America and learn all about the continents of North and South America? Buckle up, as we head overseas and travel back in time to a time where the Maya civilization was thriving in what is now Mexico. Learn about how they influenced us today and invented many things we could not live without. After we have discovered everything there is to know about Ancient Maya, we will then head South into the South American continent and learn all about the vital lungs of the earth - The Amazon Rainforest. Rainforests are such biodiverse ecosystems, home to hundreds of species and without them we could be in trouble! Learn all about the importance of rainforest and do your bit to save them! Let's make David Attenborough proud! 

PE will be on Wednesday afternoon with MrJones and Friday afternoon with me, Miss Lyddiatt! Please ensure that you come into school on these days wearing school PE kit: shorts or tracksuit bottoms (depending on the weather), trainers, school jumper or fleece. 

Reading -  aim for 20 minutes a day! I am doing this too! Reading for pleasure is hugely important so make sure you read a variety of texts, it does not have to be a narrative story. If you are struggling with book choices please use this resource for some recommended reads (click the link)
