Topic
Our topic for this term is all about the human circulatory system and our investigative title is 'What Keeps Us Beating'. It is a science based topic, so we will be conducting some experiments and will be in need of some supplies so please keep your eyes open for messages sent via Ping! Please see the topic web (below) for further information about our learning this term.
PE
PE will be with me (Miss Coney) on Monday and Wednesday afternoon. Please ensure that the children come into school on these days wearing their school PE kit: shorts or tracksuit bottoms (depending on the weather), trainers, school jumper or fleece.
Homework
Homework will be set weekly on a Friday and is expected to be handed into school the following Friday. Information of what homework is set will be handed out to the children on a printed sheet. This gives the children a week to ensure it is completed. I will be available at lunchtimes should anyone need any further help with what has been set. I will only set homework as a recap of learning so the children will have had lessons in school that relate to the homework. As well as the weekly work set (in the CGP books provided), children are also expected to participate in daily reading and maths practice as outlined below:
Maths - Children should participate in daily practice of number fluency. This can be done via online maths games that you can find here.
Reading - The children are expected to engage with daily reading at home, books from school can be taken home for reading pleasure and these should be recorded in reading journals.
